Ben – Physiotherapist – Ringwood Sports Medicine

Ben is a Physiotherapist who joined RSM in 2023, following several years of consulting experience across Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs.

Alongside his clinical work, Ben is a semi-professional basketball player, currently competing with the Kilsyth Cobras in the NBL1 competition. He has played at this level for the past 10 years, after spending two years at Augusta University in the United States on a collegiate basketball scholarship.

Ben has a strong passion for working with basketball players of all ages and experience levels—from mid-week competition athletes to emerging representative players. He enjoys tailoring rehabilitation programs to suit each individual’s goals and demands of the sport. Basketball players most commonly present with knee pain and ankle injuries, including sprains and fractures, areas that Ben particularly enjoys treating.

In addition, Ben has completed in-depth concussion training through the ImPACT pathway and is part of the Melbourne Sports Concussion Clinic, a branch of RSM specialising in the assessment and management of head injuries. Via the implementation of  of thorough assessment and treatment methods, Ben works to ensure a safe and complete return to activity.

Ben’s other clinical interests include post-operative lower limb rehabilitation, as well as the management of lower back pain and disc injuries.
